Update on Health Professional Fee for Service review The WSIB has completed a review of the fees paid to 12 health professions. The professions included in the review were: audiology, chiropody, chiropractic, massage therapy, occupational therapy, optometry, physiotherapy, podiatry, psychology, registered nurse (extended class), social work and speech language pathology. A survey was conducted for the WSIB by an external research firm to determine the health care fees paid across public and private payers for their services. The WSIB used a market-based methodology to develop a one-time, baseline adjustment to bring existing fees to a level more reflective of current market conditions in Ontario.
