Reporting Requirements
Timely and accurate reporting is needed to facilitate the delivery of benefits to your patient, and also to ensure prompt payment for your services. This section will answer basic question about reporting.

Drug Benefit Program
Our WSIB Drug Benefit Program pays the full cost for medication prescribed by physicians for work-related injury or illness. Through this program, we provide medications to treat workplace-related conditions for more than 55,000 Ontario workers each year.

Health Care Equipment and Supplies
Effective March 3, 2008, the WSIB will require purchases of approved health care equipment and supplies on behalf of workers to be made from one of the WSIB’s three preferred suppliers: Medical Mart, Motion Specialties, and Shoppers HomeHealthCare.
Payments for No Form 8
The WSIB is now paying for Health Professional’s Reports (Form 8) (540k, pdf) in cases where a worker cannot be assigned a claim under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (Act). While unusual, this situation can occur when an employer is either not registered or not covered under the Act. The effective date was January 1, 2007, on a go-forward basis.

Compliance
This section answers common questions you may have about compliance and fraud under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and the Criminal Code.
Fair Practices Commision
The Fair Practices Commission is the organizational ombudsman for the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board. The Commission provides an independent, neutral and confidential service for injured workers, employers and service providers with complaints about the service they receive at the WSIB. The Commission also tracks complaint trends, identifies systemic issues and recommends improvements to the WSIB.
