Consultation on occupational disease draft policies

Beginning June 4, 2008, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is inviting comments from the public on three occupational disease draft policies.

The draft policies will help provide a solid and clear platform for fair and consistent occupational disease policy development and adjudication at the WSIB.

Submissions will be accepted until October 1, 2008 on the following draft policies:
Please note that a post-consultation report will be prepared and feedback will be considered before submitting the final policies to the Board of Directors. A copy of the Chair’s Report– along with other material from the WSIB’s consultation in 2004 – is attached on this page for your review.

    • Developing policies for compensating occupational disease claims
    • The decision-making in occupational disease claims.
