Policy Consultations We develop and update policies in accordance with the Act and through consultation with our clients and customers. You’ll find information here about consultations for policies and/or policy changes. Occupational Disease Draft Policies Beginning June 4, 2008, the WSIB is conducting a consultation on three occupational disease draft policies. Bill 187 Consultation A report summarizing stakeholder feedback from the WSIB’s consultation on interim versions of key policies is now available. Stakeholder feedback report for Early and Safe Return to Work policies A report summarizing stakeholder feedback from the second round of stakeholder consultation on the WSIB’s revised draft Early and Safe Return to Work policies is now available. Confidentiality Policies The WSIB has approved new and revised Confidentiality Policies that will update and clarify the way the WSIB handles claim file information. The new and revised policies become effective January 3, 2006. CPP Policy Review Consultation As a result of this consultation, the WSIB has approved new and revised policies on how CPP benefits are reflected in the calculation of WSIB benefits. Traumatic Mental Stress Consultation As a result of this consultation, our BoD has approved a new policy on Traumatic Mental Stress. WSIB Coverage Consultations We want to ensure that the rules for WSIB coverage are clear and reflect the reality of workplaces today, and that there is a level playing field for all Ontario businesses.
