    Co-operation Policies Consultation

Most workers and employers co-operate with each other to meet their return to work obligations.

However, in those few instances where either one or both parties refuse to co-operate, the WSIB must set out reasonable and fair policies to enforce these obligations.

We developed two draft policies setting out enforcement and penalty provisions:

    • Early and Safe Return to Work — Workplace Party Co-operation, and
    • Co-operating in Labour Market Re-entry.
We began consulting on these two draft policies last year by mail and through this Web site.

In light of the feedback received, WSIB management and staff are still working on the draft policies. We will communicate with you again once the revised draft policies are available.

In the meantime, if you would like to receive copies of the draft policies, the Consultation Summary Report, and/or the much lengthier report Feedback from External Consultation, please e-mail bpb@wsib.on.ca.
