| The WSIB Research Program
At the WSIB, research is key to improving our efforts to prevent, compensate and treat workplace injury and illness, and return workers to sustainable productive work.
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the workplace safety and insurance system, we currently fund two major research initiatives:
- Solutions for Workplace Change for research grants,
- Activities at the Institute for Work & Health (IWH).
The current total funding for these two programs is $8 million. |
Solutions for Workplace Change
This competitive research grants program is open to all who feel qualified to submit a proposal to the annual competition for financial support.
Institute for Work & Health
The Institute for Work & Health (IWH) is an independent, not-for-profit research organization established in 1990 by the WSIB (then the Workers' Compensation Board) to find new ways to prevent workplace disability, improve treatment and encourage early, safe return to work.
