Working with the WSIBReturn to WorkInjury and Illness

    Who will help me?

Your WSIB adjudicator and nurse case manager can give you valuable help toward a successful recovery and return to work.

Your adjudicator will help you with procedural matters concerning your claim and can:

    • Intervene if you think your employer is not fulfilling his or her responsibilities in helping you return to work
    • Involve a WSIB return to work mediator to help you and your employer resolve disagreements
    • Call on a WSIB ergonomist to help you and your employer find ways to modify your workstation, and/or parts of your job to ensure these are suited to your physical capabilities.
    • Identify and coordinate any services you may need that are beyond what the WSIB provides.
Your nurse case manager will ensure that you receive quality health care, and can:
    • answer questions about treatments and conditions
    • act as a contact with other health care professionals
    • help you find other resources that assist in your recovery
    • coordinate WSIB resources with your adjudicator to support you and your family during your recovery and safe return to work.
