Sponsor’s Role The safety group sponsor works along with the WSIB and Health and Safety associations to help workplaces develop health and safety programs. See a list of safety groups that you can join. If a firm has trouble implementing a safety element, it can ask the sponsor for support and guidance. The sponsor also recruits new members, organizes meetings and reports the group’s progress back to the WSIB. The Sponsors’ Guidelines (185k, pdf) contain detailed information on the sponsor’s role.
