Injury Prevention For information on how you can prevent common injuries, contact the: Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA) or the Workers Health and Safety Centre. Sector Interagency Group The Primary Metals sector together with the Automotive; Chemical/Plastics, Process; Food & Beverage; Manufacturing; and Schedule 2 sectors have set up an advisory group to strengthen prevention initiatives. The group’s focus is currently on falls, since these are a major cause of injuries within these sectors. The SIG includes staff representatives from these sectors, the IAPA, the Ministry of Labour, and Human Resources Development Canada.
