Your WSIB statement of account has a new look

    1. Why have you changed the financial system?

A: The WSIB upgraded its financial system with new industry standard products. This new integrated financial system supports our financial activities and decision-making processes, and allows us to streamline our service to you. It also provides the foundation to support future WSIB initiatives.

See a guide (44k, pdf) to your new WSIB statement of account.

    2. Whom do I contact for a more detailed explanation of my account or account transactions?

A: For more information about your WSIB account, contact your account manager or customer service representative. Their contact information is on your statement of account. You can also reach the WSIB at 1-800-387-0080 or 416-344-1000.

    3. How can I make my WSIB payments?

A: You can make your payment at a WSIB office or send a cheque to the WSIB along with the stub portion of your statement in the envelope provided. You can also make a payment at your financial institution.

Or you can use the WSIB’s new ePayment option. ePayment allows you to submit your payments via the Internet, the telephone or Automated Banking Machines through your financial institution. Register for online banking with your financial institution and include the WSIB as a payee on your account.

    4. Why isn’t there a detailed listing of my Accounts Receivable transactions prior to June 14 on this statement?

A: The customer account balances have been converted into the new Accounts Receivable System. The “ Opening Balance” on your statement represents your account balance as of May 31, 2004.

If your account had a balance, as of June 9, 2004, you will see one or more of the following descriptions:
    • Schedule 1 DR (Debit) conversion
    • Schedule 1 CR (Credit) conversion
    • Converted Service Charges
These transaction types represent the activities that have been processed for the period June 1 to June 9, 2004, during the conversion into the new Accounts Receivable system. Transaction details will again be available on your next statement.

Please contact your Account Manager or Customer Service Representative if you have any questions or require a detailed listing of the transactions for the period June 1 to June 9, 2004.
