Who is my WSIB Customer Service Representative?
E-mail your nearest WSIB Business Office with your postal code and, if you know it, your firm number.
Our Business Teams provide a case management approach that involves primarily the adjudicator and, where needed, a nurse case manager (NCM), Customer Service Representative or account manager (AM), as well as, any other internal resources needed to help you and your worker achieve the earliest and safest return to work possible.
Claims Management is provided primarily by an adjudicator and a nurse case manager. Their goal is to help your worker make the best recovery and the earliest, safe return to work possible.
Your adjudicator is familiar with the issues and types of injuries that occur in small businesses and will:
- assist, guide and support you and your injured worker’s return to work effort and decide what other internal resources may be needed to help you and your worker
- review your claims for benefits and make all decisions on entitlement, amount and duration of benefits
Your nurse case manager is a specially trained registered nurse who will help ensure that your worker gets quality health care at the right time. Your nurse case manager will
- help coordinate health care for the worker
- work with your worker’s doctor and adjudicator to promote recovery and return to work
- help identify ways to prevent further injury
The team may also call on a WSIB ergonomist or mediator to help get your worker back to work. Ergonomists help review potential jobs and make recommendations for a safe return to work. Mediators help resolve disagreements between you and your worker regarding: maintaining contact after an injury, agreeing to suitable work; or arranging early and safe return to work. |
