    Program of Care for Noise Induced Hearing Loss

    The NIHL Program of Care will help ensure that injured workers of Ontario diagnosed with Noise Induced Hearing Loss get the most appropriate care and treatment based on the latest scientific evidence.

    Participation requirements
    To deliver the NIHL Program of Care, you are required to meet the following
    criteria:
    • Be registered with the WSIB
    • Listen to an information session
      • To order a CD of the recorded information session, please call the WSIB Health Professional Access Line at 1-800-569-7919 or 416-344-4526 or e-mail programofcare@wsib.on.ca and provide your complete mailing address and profession.
    • Fulfill all Program of Care reporting requirements
    • Submit all Program of Care invoices electronically
    • Bill according to the fee schedule (368k, pdf)
    • Should you choose not to deliver the NIHL Program of Care to workers, refer the worker to someone participates in the NIHL Program of Care

    The NIHL Program of Care was developed through a collaborative process that included representatives of associations, employer and worker representatives, and the WSIB.
